From milestone birthdays and engagement parties to intimate dinners and corporate events, we plan celebrations of every size. Where do you plan weddings?
We plan destination weddings across Italy, including Puglia, Tuscany, Lake Como, Umbria, Sicily and Rome, as well as France, Spain, Greece, the UK and the UAE. Most of our couples marry in Italy.
Where is Lauren Portia Events based?
We're based in the UK, UAE and Italy, and work with couples from the US, UK, Canada, Australia and the Middle East.
What wedding planning services do you offer?
We offer full wedding planning, partial planning and on-the-day coordination, as well as planning for private parties and corporate events. Full planning covers everything from the venue search to guest travel, suppliers, design, budgets and running the wedding on the day.
How far in advance should we book a destination wedding planner?
Most of our couples book 12–24 months ahead, which gives the best choice of venues and suppliers, especially for peak-season dates from May to September. We can plan in a shorter timeframe depending on venue availability.
How much does a destination wedding planner cost?
Our fee depends on the number of events, the size of your wedding and the team involved on the day. As a guide, a three-day celebration with full planning and an on-site team starts from €6,000. We'll give you a clear fee after an initial call.
Can we get legally married in Italy?
Yes. Foreign couples can have a legally binding civil or religious ceremony in Italy, but it requires documents from your home country, translated and legalised, and a declaration at the local town hall before the wedding. Many couples choose to marry legally at home and hold a symbolic ceremony in Italy, which gives more freedom over the venue and timing. We guide you through whichever route you choose.
Can you plan our wedding if we live abroad?
Yes. Almost all our couples plan from abroad, mostly over video calls, with us acting as your team on the ground. Lauren planned her own wedding in Rome from abroad, so she knows exactly what that involves.
Can you plan a multi-day wedding weekend?
Yes. Many of the 200+ weddings we've planned have run over two or three days, with welcome dinners, the wedding day itself and farewell brunches. We coordinate the venues, suppliers, guest transport and timings across the whole weekend.

If you are looking to plan an Italian wedding, then Rome should be high on the list of areas to consider, there are few places that can rival its timeless allure and effortless style.
I often feel Rome can get overlooked in favour of more popular wedding destinations like Lake Como and the Amalfi coast but having visited many of the best venues in Rome, and having my own wedding there I couldn’t recommend Rome more (without being too biassed).
